FRAUD: A suspect was arrested after using a forged prescription at the Safeway pharmacy on Maple Valley Highway. It was a case of bad timing for the suspect, as a police officer was at the store arresting two youths caught shoplifting.

TIKI ATTACK: A woman was arrested after she reportedly hit her estranged boyfriend with a tiki torch during a disturbance at a home in the 2400 block of I Street Northeast about 8 p.m. Saturday. Police said she was booked for violating a no-contact order.

LOST FOOD: Somebody broke into a food sales and distribution business in the 2000 block of R Street Northwest and stole frozen food products. The freezer door was left open. Some products still in the freezer had to be thrown away. The loss was estimated at $6,000, police were told.
