NO FARE: A 38-year-old Medina man took a taxi from Seattle to Kirkland at 3:48 a.m. March 14, but refused to pay the cab driver his fare. Police contacted the man, who told police he did not have money to pay the cab fare. The man was arrested for theft.
A Medina man with no money...

INFLUENCE REVOKED: A 43-year-old Issaquah man was pulled over by a sheriff's deputy at 10:30 p.m. March 16 in the 23500 block of Southeast 24th Street after traveling on the wrong side of the road. The driver said he was passing someone in front of him, then asked if ``this was necessary,'' because he played soccer with another member of the sheriff's office. A check on the driver revealed his registration was unsigned, and his license had been suspended because his insurance had expired for almost a year. As the deputy arrested him, the driver mused that knowing someone in the department didn't help him much. The deputy indicated he would pass along the message to their mutual acquaintance.

BAD LUCK: A man who failed to signal a left turn in the 2400 block of Auburn Way South Sunday was stopped by an Auburn officer who then arrested the man. The officer discovered the man was wanted on a felony warrant, was driving a stolen car, and had burglary and auto-theft tools in his car.
You would think he would be very carefull when driving...

AUTO THEFT: About 9 a.m. March 11, a man staying at the Holiday Inn at 1801 12th Ave. N.W. watched as a man in a yellow-hooded raincoat got into the guest's 1998 Lincoln Town Car and drove off. Police later found the car in the parking lot of Costco, with the raincoat inside. The coat had the identification of a 31-year-old Seattle man, who was later located in the area.
He was afraid somebody will steal his coat...
